陸軍下士洪仲丘疑在軍中禁閉室被施虐致死，「公民1985行動聯盟」20日（周六）上午將包圍國防部，替洪仲丘討公道。民進黨主席蘇貞昌今（19）日證實，只有人民的力量夠，政府才會低頭，他將以公民身份和網友站在一起，現身國防部。
「公民1985行動聯盟」在網路號召「公民教召」，20日上午9時至11時，網友將身著白衣聚集國防部抗議；晚間18時在立法院濟南路側門舉行燭光晚會。
蘇貞昌今日受訪表示，軍隊是保國衛民，軍隊讓人民把自己孩子送到軍營訓練，成為捍衛國家的戰士。他說，爸爸媽媽好不容易養大，孩子好好的進去，卻是冰冷屍體出來，軍隊怎麼對得起爸媽？三軍統帥怎麼對得起人民？
蘇貞昌指出，為了防止此事再發生，國防部要給爸媽真相，並誠懇道歉，讓爸媽瞭解怎麼一回事，爸媽才能放心把孩子送到軍營，軍營中有孩子的爸媽才能放心。
蘇貞昌表示，民進黨中常會已通過成立「軍中人權改革監督小組」，不能讓軍營成為黑暗面，而軍隊不能再讓人民沒有信心。他說，三軍統帥、總統限期提出改革方案，國防部要說明真相、追責任、要改革。
對於網友包圍國防部的活動，蘇貞昌強調，網友在網站上非常有力量，希望大家把力量拿出來，政府到現在沒有給真相，只有民意夠、人民的力量夠，政府才會低頭。
蘇貞昌還說，他將以公民身份和網友站在一起，希望大家都站出來，因為這實在是太傷天害理，讓父母太傷心了，也只有如此才能替洪仲丘討公道。
