藍鳥隊台灣投手王建民招牌的滾地球不見了，25日對太空人先發，只投3局失5分，就被換下場，4局結束，太空人7比0領先，代班先發的建仔，恐怕很難再留在大聯盟。
王建民過去伸卡球犀利，經常會讓對手打出滾地球，尤其是關鍵時刻常能製造雙殺的機會化解危機，所以是以「滾地球投手」打響了自己的名號，但這一戰，建仔先發3局，除了3次三振，滾飛球比是2比4，轉型中的王建民，還要再加強。
王建民第1局只投11球就讓太空人隊三上三下，但2局下又出狀況，連續被Jason Castro、Brett Wallace、Brandon Barnes連敲安打失2分，兩出局後，Jonathan Villar擊出游擊方向滾地球，藍鳥隊游擊手Jose Reyes球傳一壘，傳偏了，太空人隊再攻下1分，這一局建仔失掉3分。
先前王建民在6月28日對紅襪、7月3日對老虎的兩場比賽，都是第2局出狀況，對紅襪第2局失7分，對老虎則是失6分，先發兩局都投不完，也讓藍鳥隊決定讓他下小聯盟，此次好不容易有機會上大聯盟，建仔還是在第2局失分。 (接下一頁)
