雅虎傳挖角CBS當家主播 強化新聞事業

雅虎公司為加速建立內容，據傳正在挖角哥倫比亞廣播公司（CBS）的名主播庫瑞克（Katie Couric）。

彭博資訊引述消息人士報導，雅虎可能本周就會宣布與庫瑞克達成協議。在雅虎執行長梅爾試圖整頓公司之際，僱用庫瑞克將使雅虎再獲得一張吸引觀眾和廣告主的王牌。庫瑞克是CBS晚間新聞的主播，年收入最多曾達到1,500萬美元。

自2012年7月接任雅虎執行長後，梅爾一直致力於建立新聞事業，以讓自家網站更能與Google和臉書（Facebook）爭取廣告主。在梅爾帶領下，雅虎股價已漲逾130%。

消費者正逐漸改用數位裝置，觀看電視和其他影音內容。最新例證是網路串流影音業者Netflix，今年第3季在美國的付費訂戶成長至3,110萬人，超越時代華納旗下的有線頻道HBO。
