中新社報導，布達拉宮近期開始登錄可移動文物（可收藏文物），預計在2016年完成。

布達拉宮的豐富藏物，將依據中共中央政府的要求，普查、登記、建檔，並記錄文物的尺寸、來源、完好或損壞狀況等資訊。布達拉宮管理處負責人丁長征說，「這是一個摸清家底的過程，進一步瞭解文物詳細資訊，有利於對文物的保護」。

1300多年歷史的布達拉宮建立於西元七世紀，是松贊干布統一西藏後，為促進吐蕃政治、經濟和文化發展，並推進當時與唐朝的關係，迎娶文成公主而興建。
