作為機場建設以及觀光發展的機場服務費，將從5月1日起將從原本300元提高到500元。不過旅客只要在4月底前開票，機場服務費將維持300元。

根據中央社報導，交通部已向行政院提出調漲機場服務費，計畫從5月1日開始漲200元，從原本新台幣300元提高到500元。機場服務費主要是向出境旅客收取，用來發展觀光以及機場建設。

台灣的機場服務費已經超過27年沒有調整。再考量機場服務費是機場重要收入來源，桃園國際機場將興建第3航廈，未來還要建第3條跑道，因此行政院去年核定提高機場服務費。

其實台灣鄰近的國家，機場服務費都比台灣高，日本成田機場、韓國仁川機場收取700多元、新加坡樟宜機場、北京首都機場超過800元，香港機場則是台灣的兩倍多。
