西藏日喀則撤地設市 西藏第二地級市

據新華社報導，大陸國務院於近日批覆撤銷日喀則地區，設立地級日喀則市，原縣級日喀則市改為桑珠孜區。這將是中國大陸最年輕的地級市，也是西藏除首府拉薩市之外的第二個地級市。

日喀則地委書記丹增朗傑表示，撤地設市將使日喀則地區迎來新的歷史發展機遇。設立地級日喀則市後，將在組織機構、人員編制、行政權限上更加完善，有利於促進日喀則經濟社會發展。

新設立的地級日喀則市將轄17縣1區，管轄面積不變，將在今年8 月底或9月舉行地級日喀則市掛牌儀式。

日喀則地區位於西藏西南部，在西藏自治區屬於人口最多、邊境線最長、農業最集中的地區，以珠穆朗瑪峰、札什倫布寺和薩迦寺等馳名中外。
