what's app要綁定嗎

我想請問一下大家，如果換手機的話what's app也需要綁定號碼還是信箱嗎?

如果要的話要怎麼用?
(因為我本身只用LINE，W是家人用的，所以需要詳細的流程)

我只知道LINE的要綁定，上網爬文也沒看到說W的要不要綁定

因為家人要換手機，怕直接換過去裡面的好友都不見

希望不要有複製文或是廣告文，希望有經驗的人回答謝謝
