需求增加、廠商拉貨速度加快，導致美國6月份躉售存貨意外減少0.2%至4,997億美元，低於彭博社預估月增0.4%。連同6月在內，躉售存貨已連續3個月下滑，為近4年來僅見。此外，5月數據也由月減0.5%下修至月減0.6%。

分析師指出，當月份汽車(月減1.5%)等存貨下滑超出預期，將迫使企業加快存貨回補速度以因應增加的市場需求，這將提升工廠訂單表現。

若與去年同期相比，6月躉售存貨年增2.9%。耐久財類存貨幾乎與前月持平、但年增4.3%；非耐久財類躉售存貨月減0.3%、年增7%。存貨是美國GDP組成的要項之一，而躉售存貨佔美國企業存貨比重約為三成，因此躉售存貨增加將可挹注美國經濟成長。

在躉售銷售方面，6月較前月上揚0.4%至4,259億美元，其中耐久財類銷售月增1.1%、年增5.4%，項下電子、電器類產品月增3.7%；非耐久財類月減0.2%、年增5.8%，項下雜貨類商品月減1.8%，而石油類製品月增5.3%。

躉售存貨/銷售比為1.17，低於前月的1.18，意味著以當前銷售速度，當前的存貨水位只能支應廠商1.17個月。
