飛機緊急迫降　竟是牛群放屁過熱

英國民航處的數據顯示，當地機場過去兩年收到1,262次求救訊號，當中186次是遇險求救信號，其餘都不太緊急，從撞上雀鳥到機組人員病倒都有。其中一次飛機需緊急降落的原因，竟然是機上運載的牛隻過熱，觸動火災警報。

該架波音747航班，途經愛爾蘭海期間，火災警報突然響起，需緊急降落希斯洛機場。飛機降落後，技術人員檢查飛機，但未有發現起火，推測可能是所載的390隻牛隻產生大量熱能，觸動警報。

牛的平均體溫為攝氏38.6度，稍高於人類體溫，而且因為腸胃氣脹，每日會釋放100至200公升甲烷。因此，當多隻牛聚在一起，釋放氣體並散發體溫，機上的溫度可能會上升，觸發警報。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
