美股周二下跌，拖累台股7日開低失守8000點，指數以7993.57點開出，下跌45.34點，金融股跌幅逾1%，電子股也下跌，台積電、大立光、鴻海等股都是下跌表現，各類股齊挫下，指數開低走低。
擔心聯準會(Fed)可能從9月開始縮減購債計畫，QE退場疑慮再起下，美股周二下跌，道瓊工業指數盤中一度重挫近140點，終場以15518.74點作收，下跌93.39點，跌幅0.6%；NASDAQ指數收3665.77點，下跌27.18點，跌幅0.74%；S&P 500指數收1697.37點，下跌9.77點，跌幅0.57%；費城半導體指數收478.68點，下跌3.46點，跌幅0.72%。
美股下跌，外資對台股操作偏空下，7日以低盤開出，失守8000點關卡，上市櫃公司7月營收及今年半年報陸續公布中，也影響到部分個股的表現，早盤開低後，正在實施庫藏股的宏達電止跌，另外，聯發科也是上漲的表現。
傳產股部分，百貨股跌幅逾2%、食品股、營建股、玻陶股、汽車股跌幅都逾1%，各類股幾乎齊挫，拖累大盤的表現。
