佛羅里達州立監獄在當地周四晚上8時16分 (台北周五上午9時16分)以致命注射液處死一名1993年的搶劫強暴犯。執刑曾延後兩小時，因為等待美國最高法院對最後一次上訴的裁決 (該院駁回上訴)。42歲的寇蒙迪1993年夥同兩人闖入佛州Pensacola市一位銀行家的家，射殺他，並強暴其妻。另兩人判無期徒刑。
