聯準會（Fed）台北時間18日凌晨3點公布聲明，預測美國今年經濟成長率將介於2.3%到2.4%，高於先前預測的2.0%到2.2%。

Fed在聲明中預測，美國經濟今年最多可望擴張2.4%，主要反映4至9月經濟強勢成長4.3%。今年的失業率預測則從先前的5.9%-6.0%調降至5.8%。Fed也預測，美國經濟將於明年底達到充分就業。

Fed維持今年通膨預估不變，但大幅下修明年通膨預測，從先前的1.6%至1.9%降至1%至1.6%，反映石油和天然氣價格近來重挫。
