原代表時代力量參選的閃靈主唱Freddy，在代表社會民主黨的台大社會系副教授范雲宣布參選大安區2016立委選舉後即發聲明，選擇退出大安區。然而，Freddy預計將於明日在龍山寺召開記者會，可望宣布參選台北市萬華中正區挑戰國民黨立委林郁方。

Freddy於16日上午聲明指出，在「社會民主黨」的范雲宣布參選大安區立委之後，幾經思考與討論，在「分進合擊」的原則下，自己選擇退出大安區的參選機會，全力支持她，也希望所有支持自己的大安區親朋好友、鄰居同學們，能夠跟他一樣支持范雲。

Freddy當天下午召開記者會指出，戰士沒有選擇戰場的權利，時代力量仍會盡力整合進步力量參與選舉，否則若不整合，仍會淪為黨國利益得利的結果。至於下一步怎麼做，Freddy表示最快將於明天宣布。

而時代力量今日發布新聞稿表示，Freddy將於明日在龍山寺舉行時代力量第三波區域立委候選人發布記者會，也就是說Freddy可望將於萬華區參選。
