我最近在讀Meg Cabot寫的The Princess Diaries(麻雀變公主原著)

書中出現一句話:When I walked into school,the first thing somebody did was shove a petition in my face.
大概的意思是,當我走進學校,某人做的第一件事便是將一張請願書塞到我面前
但這邊是不是有文法錯誤?
應該是:When I walked into school,the first thing somebody did was "shoving" a petition in my face.對嗎??
