桃園縣環保局查獲平鎮某廠，污染防制設備操作不當，散發酸臭異味，影響居民生活品質，環保局依違反空氣污染防制法開罰。

桃園縣環保局說，至少開罰金額新台幣20萬元，並限期於兩週內完成改善，改善期間再有違法情事加重處罰，逾期未改善將按日連罰，甚至不排除祭出勒令停工處分。

環保局指出，近日接獲民眾陳情反映，平鎮工業區內的工業七路及工業十路交叉口處，常常會聞到酸臭味，懷疑有不肖廠商偷排廢氣。

環保局依據民眾描述異味特性，再分析季節風向、產業污染特性及地緣位置，鎖定位處上風處從事印染整理業的某公司涉嫌重大，20日稽查人員再度於廠外聞到濃濃酸臭味，立即進廠稽查。

環保局進廠後，逐一查對空氣污染染防制設備的操作參數，量測該廠廢氣洗滌塔的廢水酸鹼值，赫然發現兩座洗滌塔的廢水酸鹼值分別只有3.5及4.7，都低於正常操作值(pH:6-8)，廠方操作人員直呼不可能，自己馬上取樣檢測，結果與環保局檢測數值相同，才驚覺原來是pH監控設備故障所致，業者當場啞口無言。(中央社)
