羅瑩雪：扁若能保外就醫 最長期限1個月

前總統陳水扁聲請保外就醫案，為何要重新鑑定病情？不能用之前的鑑定報告嗎？法務部長羅瑩雪今天說，受刑人保外就醫的最長期限是一個月，一個月後再檢查若病情沒有改善，還可以再延長一個月到三個月，之後，監獄人員和醫師會定期檢查保外就醫受刑人的病情，了解病情是改善或惡化，若有改善且可以服刑則回監獄服刑，反之再延長保外就醫時間。

她強調，是否准予保外就醫必須依最新的病情鑑定結果為準。扁上次聲請保外就醫的檢查結果是今年五月的資料，因此需要重新鑑定。至於病情鑑定何時會有結果，她說，尊重醫療團隊的專業判斷，法務部沒有時間表。
