8月27日8局下登板中繼，讓Tyler Flowers揮棒落空三振形成第2個出局數，李振昌朝著休息室方向走去，半路發現苗頭不對馬上折返，讓人以為他「記錯出局數」。

李振昌坦承確實想要自行下場，但不是因為「記錯出局數」，「上去之前教練團有先說，要我抓2個出局數就好，所以投完三振就想直接下去。走到一半才發現不對，還是要等總教練上來換人。」

9月14日出戰老虎，8局下1出局二三壘有人，李振昌被教練團授意要故意四壞球保送，捕手站起來也接不到他的大暴投，壘上跑者各推進一個壘包因此掉分。

談到非常不尋常的暴投，李振昌有點不好意思地說：「棒球嘛，什麼事情都有可能發生，可能是因為不太習慣投故意保送。」

9月15日這次李振昌人在休息室也能搶鏡頭，隊友惡作劇在他帽子上黏紙杯，連現場轉播單位都特別連線報導，他笑說：「當時我還真的完全不知道。」
